Conversations with Scientists

Conversations with Scientists In 2014, the Department of New Biology started a seminar series titled “Conversations with Scientists” which features prominent and long-time members of the biology faculty and other scientists with connections to the Department. With funding from the Institute for Basic Research, these informal talks are videotaped in front of a live audience of undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, and faculty. These conversations focus on the early years of the scientists’ lives and how their personal background, family, education, and mentors have influenced their lives and career choices. These conversations also provide a historical account of the evolution of convergence biology, as well as an insight into the history of DGIST’s biology department.
